Freedom

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”  John 14:6

“Freedom is not doing what you want; it’s the ability to choose the best path.”

This is what the Lord gave me to say to my 3-year-old daughter who has gone the way of most 3 year-olds.  She believes she can disregard instruction and stomp her feet when corrected in order to do what she wants!  Honestly there are 30 year-olds who think the same but my role as her mother is to show her the right path (Jesus) and encourage her to follow Him.  Her flesh will throw up detours.  The flesh always does.  I have the opportunity to call her attention to the path, take her by the hand and encourage her to follow Him along with me.  Lord help me…;-)
