Celebrate the Journey

Okay, so my pastor preached a sermon today on celebrating small victories.  It was awesome because it seemed like Jesus gave him that message just for me.  I’m so goal oriented that I tend to push toward the end of a thing.  I don’t look up, look around or let up on the gas until I finish—and then I celebrate.  That is DRAINING and no fun.  It’s time to enjoy the journey!

Last month, I finished writing the book I started back in October last year!  There are so many people who have something to say, but never write it down.  There are people who start a book, but never finish writing it.  I thought I had to wait till I had a book release date to say I finished it.  Sure I celebrated with my husband, kids and a couple of friends, but I still hesitated to say anything to my blogging community.

Well, I’d like to include you in the celebration of the journey!  The book’s been edited and I submitted a proposal for it to an agent…and I’m waiting.  In the meantime, I’m thankful for what DADDY God shared with me in it.  I’m enjoying it as a bible study right now as I anticipate God’s leading going forward.  He has opened so many doors already in this process and I’m depending on Him all the way!

So, yes, there is still much unknown.  Will it be published traditionally or self-published?  When will I be able to hold an actual copy in my hand?  I don’t know.   I DO know it’s written, and that’s awesome!  Celebrating this milestone gives me a boost to keep going and see this thing through.  I’ll keep you posted…  Thank you so much for your support!
