Poem 12

Voice of Triumph
by Vanessa A. Harris

I awoke to the voice of condemnation,
masked as conviction.
Speaking yesterday’s failures,
already drowned in the Blood.

Another arose to answer the first.
Assuring me His righteousness,
I’m forever His delight.
This reality, mine to enjoy;
contrary voices I’m free to ignore.
