Love Perseveres

Recently, Mark and I celebrated 13 years of marriage. I’m awed and grateful because I remember when it looked like we wouldn’t make it…

But God…

Christ at the center of our lives and our marriage made and makes all the difference. He held us together when we could hardly hold on to each other.  God is faithful!

His investment in our union is bigger than the two of us. Our marriage has impact on our children and theirs for generations to come.  There’s a stability our marriage gives our children’s lives and it touched me to see how excited the kids were for our anniversary.

Our children know love isn’t always pretty, but it does persevere. That lesson will serve them well in their own marriages.  I’m thankful God uses our marriage as part of the firm foundation from which our children will approach the world.
