I Can Do What I Want! Part 2

“I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but I will not be mastered by anything.  1 Corinthians 6:12
“I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but not everything is constructive.  1 Corinthians 10:23

You certainly can, but just ask King Solomon…

He chose to have as many women as his heart desired.  Solomon had 700 wives, from nations God told the Israelites to leave alone, and 300 women on the side, for good measure.  The wives alone led him astray, never mind the mistresses (see 1 Kings 11)! Solomon went from trusting God alone to idol worship, corrupting the very wisdom He asked God for.

Thank God, He gave Jesus the right to save us from ourselves – IF we so choose!
