Faithful in Little and Much

And he said to him, ‘Well done, good servant; because you were faithful in a very little, have authority over ten cities.’  Luke 19:17

Today, my husband gets inducted into the U.S. Coast Guard Academy Hall of Fame for his basketball prowess and team leadership!  Our family couldn’t be more proud of this recognition of his dedication all those years ago.

I didn’t know my husband back in those days.  The kids and I know the stories told when the guys get together.  Yet, it’s those seeds of faithfulness, sown in gyms and basketball courts years ago, that explain his faithfulness as husband, father, provider and men’s ministry leader over subsequent years.

We are proud of, and grateful for, Mark’s academic basketball accomplishments.  That proving ground prepared him for entrustment with greater treasures: our family and the ministering of the Gospel.
