Poem 16 You Alone

YOU ALONE

You are my only hope.
There’s no hope in my ideas or the strategies of man.
You’re my only hope to walk circumspectly in this world.
To walk through uncertain times,
yet certain of my outcome.
My only hope to fulfill my call.

“Whom have I in heaven but You?”
In who else can I hope without suffering shame?
My hope is in You alone.
