What’s on Your Radar for 2018?

Happy New Year! It’s 2018, and I can’t say I have a detailed vision from the Lord for the year—assuming anyone can have such clarity.

There are definitely things on my radar: publishing the DGF devotional, reintroducing her big sister, revamping my inspirational t-shirt line, and sharing useful blog content. But just typing all that feels overwhelming—much less doing it.

And while I am taking steps to better manage my time, my main objective is to listen to the still small voice.

The Holy Spirit knows what’s a priority and when. He led me to do the Vine Life Faith series, a great reminder of the posture I need going forward. I’m merely a branch. As I stay connected [in tune and in the flow] with Jesus, the True Vine, I’ll get everything I’m meant to get done, done in due time.

Bearing fruit, but without all the stressful labor. I’ve never seen branches sweating or heard them grunting in frustration to make their fruit appear. Have you?

So, whatever your plans for 2018, may I suggest you hold them with a loose hand? Or better yet, toss them to Jesus and let Him take the lead.

Let’s go into the New Year, faith forward!

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6

  1. I can completely relate! Much to do on my plate in 2018 and much of it feels beyond what I can do in the natural! I must stop thinking of it that way. Rather just be obedient to what is truly my responsibility to manage and leave the rest to “The One” who has called me to it all!! Blessings to you this year and beyond! This is your time!

  2. G’day, first time to your blog. Loved what you said here “And while I am taking steps to better manage my time, my main objective is to listen to the still small voice” – Amen to this. Thanks for posting Vanessa
