It Feels Like Everyone’s Against You, but Sister, It’s Not Your Fight

TODAY’S woman is in a fight. She’s fighting for a voice, for equality, and respect. She’s fighting to just BE, without the imposition of someone else’s expectation.

They say the squeaky wheel gets the grease. So, she shouts and marches for acknowledgement hoping against hope, her words don’t become part of the background noise. That her persistence sparks change.

He messed with the wrong sister. And I know just the One to handle the fight!

And what choice does she have, but to fight? Isn’t she on her own to defend herself against “gentlemen” gone rogue, imposing their own will and foregoing the sentiment of ladies first? How else should she respond?

God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day. Psalm 46:5, NIV

KNOW YOUR REAL ENEMY

And though the fight is real, it’s not yours. And your adversary isn’t merely the man denying or demeaning you—it’s the spirit behind him. A spirit waging war against every daughter of Eve and like any bully, daring someone to respond. And One has.

Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth! Psalm 46:10, NKJV

FIGHT TO BE STILL

This is not a call to do nothing. Stillness is the posture of a woman who’s confident she’s seen, heard, and loved by God. And because what she believes changes everything, she boldly tells Jesus about her bully: his belittling words, unwanted advances, and his denial of her value. Dropping her gloves she stands, watching DADDY God put the enemy in his place.

He messed with the wrong sister.

WATCH HIM WORK

Yes, I know you’re catching hell. It seems like the world is against you, and you’re on your own. But it’s time you believe the truth. Your DADDY is with you, He’s for you, and it’s not your fight!
