FOG: Focus on Gratitude Day 1

This time last year I started a 31-day journey through John 15, containing the foundational verse for this blog, verse 5. It was the first time I’d taken part in 31 Days of Blogging in October and didn’t intend to do it again. But in the middle of the night as I lay awake talking with Jesus, though wishing I were asleep, I heard Him say, “Ungrateful.”

Oh you mean my kids? They have it so good yet find so much to complain about. Where do they get it from? And while peers and the culture play a part, so do I it seems.

Ingratitude, an insidious amnesia robbing you of memories of God’s goodness and how far you’ve come by His grace.

And in the middle of the night, I repented (changed my mind). My natural gratitude as a new believer, must become an intentional attitude. So here’s to 31 days of gratitude…

I’m grateful

God doesn’t owe me anything, yet He’s already given me everything—life, love, hope, faith, and grace. All because of Jesus.

Focus on Gratitude:

Do you struggle staying grateful the longer you walk with Jesus?
