Vine Prayer: Pray God’s Word for Relief

Sometimes, we’re our own worst enemy. Holding on to junk in our minds and hearts. We need Jesus to save us from us. And He will.

let it go

Lord, thank You for Your love. Thank You for drawing close to the lost when we couldn’t come to You.

Jesus, You came to heal us everywhere we hurt. And we’re hurting, Lord. We’re bound in destructive cycles of thinking and habits that look like we’ll never overcome.

We’re messy in our thoughts and emotions. We’ve caused and received so much heartache, we’re blinded by bitterness. It’s hard to see Your goodness in anything.

And then there’s the pressures of this world. The demands people put on us and we put on ourselves to look and act like we have it all together—and we’re tired, Lord. These masks are so heavy.

So, we ask You to save us from ourselves. Help us look past our hurts and see Your heart.

Free us from our prisons of comparison, doubt, fear, guilt, and insecurity. Help us to see Your abundant grace—goodness we don’t deserve but desperately need. And release the pressure valve, Jesus. Release us from the pressure to present perfect lives. The impossible standards we put on ourselves and each other.

We give all of it to You and receive the freedom found only in You. Thank You for Your faithfulness and unfailing love. In Your name Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Prayer based on Luke 4: 16-18.

Here at Vine Life Faith, we pray God’s Word to enjoy God’s will because His Word contains the words He’s obligated to. While we pray inspired by a particular verse, the prayer references multiple verses as the Lord leads. God bless you.
