When all we have is your word to go by—your word is enough…
Lord God, we’re grateful for your faithfulness to your word. You are not a man that You should lie nor do You back pedal on your promise.
Your word never fails.
So when You say you’ve given us new territory, we can move forward on your word alone.
But taking new territory requires fighting the enemy. And no one likes to fight alone, so we look for strength in numbers. We ask people to fight with us or we seek their counsel—when You didn’t tell us to.
So, Lord, keep us from looking to people to help us get what You promised us.
Nothing is too hard for You.
Remind us your word is enough. You fixed the fight. You’ve already given us the land.
The fight you’re calling us to is really a fight of faith. Do we believe the word You spoke to us is as powerful as the word keeping the earth suspended in perfect orbit?
Deliver us from needing the company and confirmation of people to do what You called us to.
There are times we need to band together against the enemy, like the tribes of Israel did on either side of the Jordan. But in this fight, You want to show us your power—our God who is well able.
We’re grateful You invite us to take part in advancing your Kingdom on the earth.
Thank You for new ground in our families: those living in darkness coming to know the light of Christ, establishing a legacy of faith.
Thank You for new ground in our careers: moving us from jobs to positions of influence.
Thank You for new ground in ministry: giving our words weight and opening doors to share your love and truth with hurting people.
Thank You for new ground in many areas of our lives.
We’re excited that at your word, You serve eviction notices to the enemies occupying the territory You promised us!
Lord, your word is enough.
We put all our confidence in You, Lord. And we praise You for the victory in advance.
It’s in Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen!
Prayer inspired by Judges 1:2-3.
Here at Vine Life Faith, we pray God’s Word to enjoy God’s will because His Word contains the words He’s obligated to. While we pray inspired by a particular verse, the prayer references multiple verses as the Lord leads. God bless you.
