Know When to Say When

The longer this pandemic goes on, the more I feel the need to remind my kids, and myself, that there were memories before COVID.

I don’t cook on Fridays and when the kids were younger, my husband and I often chose Olive Garden when eating out—before they started changing the menu.

You couldn’t beat the price for a family of five to eat out. Then you had the bonus of unlimited breadsticks—that I think were kissed by the angels—and a salad that remains the only salad my kids will ask for seconds.

Ah, the good old days!

But the best part was watching the server’s face when he/she served the parmesan cheese with that crank shredder (I don’t know if that’s the proper term, but let’s go with it). The server asked if we wanted cheese. We’d say, “Oh yes” and they’d say, “Say when.”

  1. I love, love, love the Motherhood Unmasked podcast. I recently discovered it and I am now hooked! So so good! I’m catching up on back episodes…where do I find the link to the reading list for episode 9?
Thanks! Please keep on recording these nuggets of amazing refreshing Biblical wisdom for us mamas.
