What’s So Good About Good Friday?

In a culture of cowardice and fierce self-preservation, Jesus suffered fully in every way because we needed it. What courage at such great cost…

He finished a bitter cup I struggle to sip from. To be fully known and loved to death. That’s what makes this Good Friday. THANK YOU JESUS!

Do I Know You?

You more than matter, you’re precious to God.

So much so He’s engraved you, believer, in the palms of His hands. Not written, where it can be erased, but engraved.

Engraving is permanent.

Does God the Father have actual hands? No, but He uses a physical attribute we can relate to, to make it clear that when He goes to do something, He’s always mindful of you. He can’t help but see you.

It’s impossible for Him to forget you.

He will never stop caring about you and for you.  You’re so precious to Him, He uses imagery that makes clear He’d never forget you. You are close, because He’s drawn you so very near (Jeremiah 31:3) through the cross of Christ.

You cannot be forgotten!

Surely they may forget, yet I will not forget you.
See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands;
Isaiah 49:15-16
