I will never cease to be amazed by, even the little we know about, what the Lord Jesus endured on His way to and on the cross!

Beaten almost beyond recognition, spit on and had the very hairs plucked from His beard, yet He didn’t turn back from the cross.  Crown of thorns shoved into His head and whipped to shreds before having to carry His own cross to Calvary’s hill, still undeterred.  Nailed to the cross, taunted and mocked, but He wouldn’t save Himself to silence the crowd.  Received all my sicknesses and infirmities in His body on top of my sin and the judgment it deserved.  Then forsaken by His Father…but He had no quit in Him!  He did not declare “it is finished” until He accomplished ALL for me!

 And even now, He won’t quit ON me.  Sometimes I feel like it’s all too much and just want to quit.  When I get weary and discouraged He reminds me that He won’t quit on me.  He’s promised to hold me up with His righteous right hand!
