HOW TO PRAY THE WORD OF GOD TO REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE

Father, in a world where people reduce us to numbers, trying to strip us of our value, we exalt your Word.

The Word written, the Word that put on flesh and dwelt among us.

And we remember You said, “Let us make man in Our image and likeness.”

We remember your Word says that when You made us You called us very good.

And we believe You when You said You fashioned all our days before one of them came to be.

And here we are, your masterpieces fearfully and wonderfully made, created in Christ Jesus to do good works You prepared in advance for us to do.

We are intentional, by your design.

So, we no longer disagree with what You’ve declared concerning us.

We repent of comparing our looks, temperaments, abilities and gifts to others—as if to say, You made us less than good.

No.

We come in agreement with You and celebrate the unique way You created each of us for our unique assignments in the earth.

And we do so humbly, because we are who and what we are, are only by your grace.

We are the disciples who Jesus loves.

We are the ones He put on flesh for, the ones He came and died for, the ones He rose again for.

And we are enough because HE made us so.

And so it is, in Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen!

Prayer inspired by John 13:23.
