God wants to expand His Kingdom through us this week. And, sure, they’ll be push-back, but He has what we need to persevere. Let’s pray.
Lord, we trust in you as our strength. Strength to persevere and strength to advance as we take new ground. We only have a measure of strength, but for what we face, we rely on yours. Because we’ve seen what we’ve thought of as our strengths amount to weakness.
But You never grow weary and your strength never fails, so we put our confidence in You.
What a relief to know your strength is best seen in our weaknesses—we have plenty of those! But there’s no reason for us to feel shame over our weaknesses, because they make room for You to act on our behalf. To reveal your glory in yet another way.
And along with strength to persevere, you’re also our shield to withstand the enemy’s attacks. He comes to steal, kill and destroy, but because of your protection, none of his attacks play out as he intends. You surround us so that even in fiery trials, we neither burn nor smell of smoke.
There is no one like You Lord!
When we cry out to You, You answer. Thank You for that confidence and we praise you in advance for your help. Remind us to face our days singing for joy because your power and great faithfulness are on our side.
You will never put us to shame for hoping in You, our strength and our redeemer. In Jesus’ name, we pray and give You thanks. Amen.
Prayer based on Psalm 28:7.
Here at Vine Life Faith, we pray God’s Word to enjoy God’s will because His Word contains the words He’s obligated to. While we pray inspired by a particular verse, the prayer references multiple verses as the Lord leads. God bless you.
