Poem 8

Surrounded
by Vanessa Harris

I live my life, cradled in my DADDY’S arms.
Encircled in strength, I am protected.
Gentle fingers trace figure eights through my hair;
The cadence of His heart, love’s soothing melody.
I live my life, cradled in my DADDY’S arms.
He softly squeezes me, assuring He will never let go.

This piece inspired by a word study of Psalm 5:12 and childhood memories.
I thank my Dad for the glimpse of what I now enjoy in full.
