Ladies, what if I told you you could change your life by changing what you believe?
Would you say, “That’s impossible. I’m a woman held captive by other people’s opinions of me and the limitations they put on me. I’m stuck until they change their minds.”
And believing that lie explains the predicament we’ve found ourselves in for thousands of years. But I’m not buying it.
She believes, and what she believes changes her life.
Woman at the Well
One day there was a woman at a well getting water at high noon because the women she hoped to avoid got their water early in the morning. These women put her in a box. They labeled her scandalous because of her “extensive” history with men in town, not to mention the latest guy she was shacking up with. Putting up with the side eyes and the whispers wasn’t worth it anymore.
Believing their rejection made her a reject she lived in avoidance mode.
That’s until a certain Man met her at the well, at the same time she sought to be alone. He wasn’t from around there, but speaking the truth in love, He made it clear He knew everything about her.
By the time they finished chatting she knew the truth about Him and herself…and the truth changed her life.
How Truth Changed Her Life
She ran back to those same people who thought they had her pegged and boldly told them about this God-man, Jesus. Hearing what she believed about Him and seeing the impact of what she believed about herself made them reconsider her.
The whole town look beyond her past, listened to her testimony, and many followed Jesus.
Truth is Power
So don’t tell me you’re a victim boxed in by people’s opinions and life’s circumstances. When you know the Truth, the Truth crushes that box and sets you free. I invite you to pay attention to what you believe and hold it up against Truth.
Here’s what’s true about every woman. She bases what she does on what she believes, so what she believes can change her life! Check out these 5 transformational statements overcoming women believe …
