I nag. I don’t like to, but I do it.
I nag because this world is increasingly becoming a network of oncoming trains and my children stand by the tracks. The nagging is my feeble attempt at the flashing red lights and red and white arm bar designed to keep them away. I want them safe, but it’s tiring and only marginally effective.
Hey! My Father has a better idea. Talk to Him about all the oncoming trains I’m concerned about. He’s in charge of the track switch and He’s got this!
At the cross, Jesus suffered rejection from His Father and mankind so that in Him we would have favor with God and with people. Notice the Holy Spirit chose ‘people’ and not ‘everyone’. That’s so important for us and our children to know in a world that is so quick to cast down and cast out based on what’s superficial and temporal. God’s favor leads you to the people who will reinforce His complete acceptance of you. We are free to ignore words to the contrary. AMEN!
